Rosemary Mitchell Obituary

Rosemary Mitchell died Saturday, March 30, 2019, following a brief illness. Her husband and daughters were with her as she passed away.

Rosemary was a longtime resident of Beaverton. A graduate of Stanford University and the School of Library Science at UC Berkeley, she worked for many years for Washington County Co-operative Library Services.

She was an accomplished singer. Beginning in high school, she sang continuously with various groups, including, most notably, the Choral Arts Ensemble in Portland, which she joined in 1977. Her last concert was in February of this year. In addition to singing, she enjoyed domestic and foreign travel, fine wine and especially spending time with her family.

Rosemary leaves behind her husband of 51 years, Tom; daughters, Anne and Mary; two young and very lively grandsons, Theodore and Oscar; and her sister, Jeanne.

At Rosemary's request, no memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the Melanoma Research Foundation.
