Patricia Ann "Pat" (Fargher) Knight

Sept. 4, 1934- Feb. 18, 2014

Patricia Fargher Knight, 79, was born in The Dalles, Oregon the youngest of 3 children. She moved to Vancouver, WA as a young girl and graduated from Vancouver High School in 1952 and Clark College in 1954. In 1956 she married high school classmate Mel Knight and moved to Lebanon, OR where she lived for 26 years where her husband taught music. Pat raised three wonderful children there and worked as a dental assistant and bookkeeper.

Pat moved to Kenosha, WI in 1985 when her husband accepted a job as Director of Music for the Barbershop Singers Society and she worked as a bookkeeper for MacWhyte Wire Rope Company. Upon retirement they moved back to Beaverton Oregon. She passed away after an extended illness from Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS).

Pat was a warm, friendly person and fun to be with. She was a fine seamstress and loved to knit, read, travel and laugh. She loved music and was active for many years with Sweet Adelines, Inc. singing with 8 regional championship choruses. Her travels included much of the United States as well as the British Isles, Western Europe, Australia, Russia and New Zealand. Her favorite vacations spots were Maui and Mazatlan, Mexico.

Pat is survived by her husband Mel, daughters Erin Haag and Tracy Forbess, son Cory Knight and four grandchildren; Austin, Garrett, Zachary and Nathan and her brother William Fargher.

A celebration of life will be held for close family and friends on February 23th. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Lung Association can be made in her name.
