Harry "Milt" Wear, Jr. Obituary
Harry Milton Wear Jr. was born on September 11, 1929, in Denver, Colorado to Mabel F. Wear and Harry Milton Wear Sr. and was one of two brothers. He flew to be with Jesus on Friday, February 24, 2023.
Milt graduated from Lincoln High School in Denver and went on to pursue a Law Degree at Denver University of Law. Just short of a law degree, he averted active military service by marrying his bride of almost 72 years, Audrey Sue Johnson on March 17, 1951, and shortly thereafter started a family of four children living in Denver, Cincinnati, Minnesota and finally settling in Oregon. Following a life changing event, he professed his faith in Jesus Christ which began a lifelong dedication to witnessing in various ways including, art, writing, and leading and participating in projects with Beaverton Foursquare Church.
He worked for a medical supply company, served as a regional trainer for Ethan Allen and business owner selling spas, and worked in commercial real estate. For 25 years following retirement, he fulfilled God’s purpose by serving as a Christian artist, blogger and electronic short story book writer. He loved restoring cars and demonstrated spiritual, mental and physical fitness all his life.
His beautiful life will forever be cherished by his wife, Audrey, and their children, Christa Deming, Vicki Wear, Britt Wear and Kirk Wear, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren (and one on the way) and a host of nieces and nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Mabel and Harry Milton Wear, brother, Wayne Wear, and Uncle Charlie Wear.
The family of Milt wishes to thank the staff at St. Vincent’s Hospital and the many family members, friends, and churches for their prayers.
“Whatever will be, will be, but it’s gonna be good.”
- Papa Wear
